A 501(c)(19) war veterans’ organization under The American Legion Department of Maryland, serving Chesapeake Beach since 1946.
When local veterans came home from World War II, they built a post and named it for two neighbors who didn’t. Eighty years later, more than 800 Legionnaires carry those names forward, alongside a very active Auxiliary Unit 206 and Sons of the American Legion Squadron 206.

Both were lost in Europe within five weeks of each other in 1944.
