American Legion Post 206

Veterans who served honorably, at least one day of active duty since December 7, 1941. We advocate for veterans, honor the fallen, and keep the lights on for everyone else.

  • Funeral details and honor guard, available to any veteran’s family

American Legion Auxiliary Unit 206

Spouses, parents, children, grandchildren and siblings of Legion-eligible veterans. The Auxiliary runs the monthly all-you-can-eat breakfast and sponsors Girls State.

  • All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast, second Sunday of the month
  • Designer Purse Bingo and seasonal fundraisers
  • Girls State sponsorship for local juniors

Country dance in the main hall

Sons of the American Legion Squadron 206

Male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of Legion members and eligible veterans. The Sons host the monthly Country Dance and help with events all year.

  • Country Dance on the second Saturday, free draft beer and soda
  • Volunteer muscle for Steak Nights and Friday dinners
  • Fundraising for veterans’ programs

American Legion Riders

Legion Family members who ride. You will see them escorting ceremonies, running poker runs and showing up for veterans across Southern Maryland.

Spaghetti dinner

Friends who call 206 home

Our doors are open to other veterans’ groups. V.F.W. Post 12248 meets in our main hall, and the Nam Knights cook one of the best spaghetti dinners in Calvert County.

Granted a temporary charter on September 25, 1946 with 47 names on the roster. Today we are one of the most active posts in Southern Maryland.
